Affiliated partnership with A2B Personnel

Opportunity creates careers for our Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Community.

OCC Services is committed to ensuring that the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community have the opportunity to connect to employment opportunities within our business. We have formed an official partnership with A2B Personnel who provide us with skilled labour hire across a broad range of industries including construction, civil, security and government work.

A2B Personnel is an Aboriginal owned and controlled Apprenticeships, Recruitment & Labour Hire company.

The OCC Services and A2B Personnel partnership aims to deliver on three key strategic areas, including;

  • Implement a Reconciliation Action Plan for OCC Services (RAP). This certification framework will enable OCC to become an employer of choice within the Indigenous Community.

  • Develop an Employment Program for our Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islander workers (EP). This program encourages ongoing support for our workers, leading to successful long term employment.

  • Provide ongoing mentoring and support to Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islander employees throughout the employment lifecycle.

We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.

Our aim for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community is to;
  • Increase the number of employment opportunities and contractors for Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islanders

  • Provide training opportunities and increase the capability for our Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islander workers

  • Expand our awareness on Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islander culture within our workplace

TESTIMONIAL

For the past 3 years I have been the Construction Manager on the Lendlease MQ2 project in the Docklands Melbourne.

As a manager I am extremely passionate in promoting Social Inclusion & Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islander workers in the construction industry. Throughout this project we partnered with OCC Labour Services as a primary partner to assist in providing a quality tradesman throughout the project with a real focus on Indigenous work men and women. OCC were fantastic in facilitating our requirements, their professionalism, follow up and delivery is something I heavily endorse and look forward to working with Luke and his team moving forward.
